zanderion
Hello, I am about to launch a new site that will be for a web-based business and the blog will be a very important part of it. However, themes like Schema do seem to favor a blog front page and don't do so nicely for a business front page. I noticed that you have a rare few themes that mention Schema-markup on the details page and yet many others that don't. Yet a few of the latter seemed to have basic schema markup but not fully implemented? (eg Truepixel, Best) 1. Could you let me know which of your themes have a proper implementation of schema markup (compliant with schema.org)? I was originally under the impression that your Schema theme had the best implementation of it but it seems the Corporate theme has it properly implemented too? And lastly Point-Pro SEEMS to have it implemented as well? Some clarification and confirmation would be much appreciated! 2. I've noticed that on some pages, the Google Structured Data testing tool seems to pick up errors on two main areas... a. Missing image names for blog entry links b. Missing publish dates (possibly due to the post listing mechanism not showing dates?) I can point them out here if you require. Are these going to be a recurrent issue even with our own sites? I hope to be able to reach a decision on the ideal theme soon. (ie. I am buying but need help!) Thank you Zan
Support ToddMTS Posted November 28, 2015 Support Report Share Posted November 28, 2015 Hi Zan, Thank you for contacting MyThemeShop today. I would love to answer those queries. 1. Schema is best in terms of schema.org compliance. Our other themes have some schema in them as well but if having schema is your number one priority, I would recommend getting Schema theme 2. a: That's because the single posts aren't setup to show images. However, you look through our forums and find a plenty of threads with solutions to almost every theme that has this issue. b. It is possible that the posts you are checking have post dates disabled on them. This issue can be fixed with ease as well. Hope that helps, please don't hesitate to let me know if you need help with anything else. 🏁Rank #1 on Google With our WordPress SEO Plugin. ⚡Score a 💯on PageSpeed and Dominate Search Rankings. ✏ Editing theme files? zanderion
Hi Todd, I do have one more question. Would I be able to set a static homepage in Schema like with Corporate? Or would I need a custom job to do so? I assume that with the Corporate theme, the static homepage is a configurable option? Thanks! Zan
Support Jitendraa Posted November 28, 2015 Support Report Share Posted November 28, 2015 Hello, Yes, In Corporate theme, the Home page layout is the theme feature but this is not possible with Schema. If you want this feature in Schema, then you need to design that of your own. Let us know if you need any other help.
