area97
Hi, I'm using RMS on a brand new site. I noticed that sometimes it gets in conflict with other plugin. for example, with glossary plugin from codedanyon, when RMS is enabled, blocks glossary linking to terms found in post/page content. Support Montgomerie Posted October 24, 2018 Support Report Share Posted October 24, 2018 Hello @area97 We checked the Glossary plugin, and something needs a fix in that plugin. The links are not working when we use get_the_excerpt() before the content is printed. We are using get_the_excerpt() in ld+json in the head tag. We then checked the plugin with Yoast and the same thing happens with them as well. Could you please ask the plugin author to check for this issue and possibly release an update? As the issue's not confined to just our plugin. Hope that helps. Support Pratik.d Posted October 18, 2018 Support Report Share Posted October 18, 2018 Hello, Can you please explain a little more about the issue? I checked your site and /glossario is showing posts from glossary post type. I don't see any option to block glossary term. Can you give us some posts links which are showing blocked Glossary posts? Looking forward to helping you. Thank you. 🏁Rank #1 on Google With our WordPress SEO Plugin. ⚡Score a 💯on PageSpeed and Dominate Search Rankings. ✏ Editing theme files? area97
I found the conflict. the problem is between RMS and wp glossary (a plugin from codecanyon) when RMS is activated, the autolinking feature of wpglossary does not work. area97
fine. I hope you'll build all the fixes about many troubles I've read about on FB too. plugin features are amazing, but too many errors as for now. Sites that already use RMS, will be switched back to yoast until RMS is more stable.
Support Montgomerie Posted October 23, 2018 Support Report Share Posted October 23, 2018 Hello, Since our plugin offers so many new features and is following stringest WordPress coding rules, it becomes difficult to offer compatibility with every plugin or theme out there, especially the ones which might be using WordPress's functions incorrectly. However, we are trying our best to keep up with any issues which are arising to our users and solving them asap. I hope you would appreciate the fact that the plugin is fairly new in the market and is already working with 95% of the websites if not more. All other SEO plugins have matured over the years and might be offering compatability with different (more) plugins, but none of them is perfect or offering the kind of features we offer. Also, we appreciate the fact that you are trying our plugin during its Beta stages and we can't thank you enough for that. We are here to help and stay and make this plugin as one of the best out there and we need support of users like you. If you need any other assistance, please let us know. Thank you. 🏁Rank #1 on Google With our WordPress SEO Plugin ⚡Score a 💯on PageSpeed and Dominate Search Rankings. ✏ Editing theme files? Please create a child theme to make your changes update-proof.
