Is there a place to syndicate the content needed for this site?

Well I look at all of the content in those boxes with various topics. Does the site automatically grab that content from somewhere? Does it update automatically? Can I customize the topics for this content? 

For example the topic on the 1st page of your demo:  Listen To “The Piano Guys” Take You Through 50 Years Of Batman

Where would I source this content from? If I wanted it to be about 'Travel' for example, can I source that content to put on the site?

Hello,

You would need to write the content on your own. Content Locker does not syndicate any content from somewhere else.

It is a plugin to lock a part of your content so you can get more exposure. Users would need to unlock the content by performing the action chosen in the locker.

I would recommend giving free version a try so you can know the possibility of the plugin:
