7582mario
Hello Support Team, After getting Rank Math plugin installed and configured successfully I tried to submit the "sitemap_index.xml". But I couldn't find it in the blog folder in File Manager. there was another sitemap.xml similar but a "404 error arose". Also, I found another file "wpms-sitemap.xml". I think this one came from Meta SEO plugin. robots.txt file is referring to wpms-sitemap.xml file. I hope you can help me fix this error. Thanks. Support Montgomerie Posted September 19, 2018 Support Report Share Posted September 19, 2018 Hello, Thank you for contacting MyThemeShop and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that. It seems like some server-side issue, 500 error. Can you please send the link of the Sitemap to your hosting guys and ask them why is the content not loading? Looking forward to helping you. 7582mario
Hello Montgomery, i contacted my web hosting service provider and this is what they said: "We have removed the htaccess files from File Manager, but our back end team let us know that the issue might be due to the plugin or some problems in the blog itself.Since we have very limited support on WordPress, I would suggest that you contact a developer to get the issue resolved". The error "500 - internal server error" persists when I clic on the sitemap link. what else can I do? Thanks. Regards, MJ
Support Montgomerie Posted September 20, 2018 Support Report Share Posted September 20, 2018 Hello, Please request them to enable the server-side error log and share that with you when you visit that Sitemap page. Also, did you try with Yoast's sitemap functionality? Is that page also throwing a 500 error? If you are on Apache, which seems like the case, please ask them to add the following rules to your site's configuration: # Rewrites for Rank Math SEO XML Sitemap rewrite ^/sitemap_index.xml$ /index.php?sitemap=1 last; rewrite ^/([^/]+?)-sitemap([0-9]+)?.xml$ /index.php?sitemap=$1&sitemap_n=$2 last; Looking forward to helping you. Thank you. 🏁Rank #1 on Google With our WordPress SEO Plugin ⚡Score a 💯on PageSpeed and Dominate Search Rankings. ✏ Editing theme files? Please create a child theme to make your changes update-proof.
