[Rank Math SEO Plugin] Sitemaps 404 and no index
anthony2 replied to anthony2's topic in Rank Math Free
Great, thank you! One thing I did not understand fully was your comment on checkout, cart, and my account page were set to no index-- where were you able to see that and why was it set that way? How do I change that as I need to update this on other websites too. -

Seems most of those errors are regarding to /cart , /my-account , /checkout pages that we use WooCommerce for. Should we be concerned? -
The website I provided, I just got emails from Google Search Console this morning that says all of those sites: Submitted URL blocked by robots.txt Submitted URL seems to be a Soft 404 Submitted URL marked ‘noindex’ What is going on?

No, I do not need JetPack's sitemap. Do whatever you need to get this resolved if possible. -

Again, the site was or was not using Yoast SEO plugin and we are using WP Rocket for our caching purposes. I just purged all of the cache and varnish on the server. Please let me know if it helps in reading robots.txt file -

I spoke with my hosting provider and they looked into this. There is no robots.txt file in the folder itself and they are not hiding any of the files. -

I was using Yoast but that plugin is no longer in use. How do I fix this? Do I simply delete those files? -

Okay, it now works... I am facing a different issue now. Please see what it tells me below. I definitely don't want pages and posts to be blocked. Also, am I supposed to submit in all sitemap: author, pages, post, etc? # Type Issue Description Issues count Example Line Detected 1 Warnings Url blocked by robots.txt. Sitemap contains urls which are blocked by robots.txt. 6 Value: https://domainname.com/author-sitemap.xml - Feb 11, 2019 Value: https://domainname.com/category-sitemap.xml - Feb 11, 2019 Value: https://domainname.com/page-sitemap.xml - Feb 11, 2019 -

Nope. That is not the case here. We've submitted the following: /sitemap_index.xml /page-sitemap.xml /post-sitemap.xml We continue to get the same results. By the way, we are using WP Rocket for our cache mechanism if that makes any difference. -
Seems like all of my websites that are running on Rank Math SEO and its sitemap xml file is not recognizable by Google. Either it says that it's in HTML or/and cannot be used. I am unable to use search console to run indexes and make sure everything is working as it should be. A website is provided in sensitive data field. This is just one example out of 15 websites we run on and has similar error.
