[eCommerce] subscriptions - author uploading

I would like to know if with the template its possible to add customer subscription/ membership login for ebooks ? Sign up / sign in options of course.
Also for various authors to be able to sign in/log in and upload to the site themselves?

I'm basically looking for a membership/subscription https://www.lulu.com style site but for ebooks.

Hi Gee,

The eCommerce theme uses the WooCommerce plugin for its store-related functionality.

WooCommerce supports digital products (such as ebooks) out of the box, and there are even some extensions available to enhance the experience, for example this one: https://wordpress.org/plugins/woo-checkout-for-digital-goods/

You can create authors manually in WordPress, or let them register to your site, then you should be able to edit their user's capabilities with a plugin like this: https://wordpress.org/plugins/user-role-editor/
