[Blogging] [Blogging] Word Wraparound

I visited two sites that use the blogging theme and both of them had an unusual word wrap (for lack of better term).  When they got to the end of the line, the word would start immediately on the next line sometimes breaking up the word in weird spots.  Like if they were in the middle of writing the word "like" the letters "lik" may be on one line and the "e" on the next line. I was wondering if that was normal or if there is something that could be done about that? Thanks.

That might be how the designers of those sites wanted to style the words.
