[Video] Is Video Theme Wpml & Rtl Compatible At The Same Time?

Hi,

I am very interested in the Video theme.

I run a multilingual (4 languages) site, with one of the languages RTL.

 

I know that the theme has an RTL setting, but is it compatible with WPML?

 

Also, if I enabled the RTL settings, will if affect all languages? Will it make all languages RTL, or the RTL languages only?

Thank you for contacting MyThemeShop today.

 

The theme Video is not designed for WPML. However it is possible that the support team at WPML is able to make the theme function with WPML. It is a paid plugin, you can ask their support.

 

Since it is a third party plugin we won't be able to troubleshoot for WPML issues.

Thanks for the reply. I really like the theme and don't want to give up on it.

 

For me to ask the WPML team as you suggested, I need to understand what items are not designed for WPML?

 

Do you mean that it is missing language translation files? (if so, I can easily translate the theme),

 

or does it mean that the text in the theme is not wrapped in "GetText" calls, as per the Wordpress codex?

I know yo usaid that you won't be able to troubleshoot for WPML issues, but at least please direct me to the incompatibility so I can determine whether it is fixable or not.

Hi Asef,

 

The theme's language is indeed wrapped in the proper text calls. You can see that by translating the theme into one language. But for WPML we don't know what WPML will need to work. Please reach out them and they will be able to tell you more.

I bought the theme at my own risk today. I have set it up and it works perfectly with WPML and RTL.

 

I am still in the process of setting it up, just wanted to give you heads up.

 

I really suggest that you invest some time in exploring the WPML so you can advertise the theme as WPML compatible.
