1) Must email addresses be managed by a third party like MailChimp to send out?

 

2) Can you invite email addresses to subscribe?

 

3) Is there a risk of being blacklisted from our webserver for sending out mass emails? (I'm guessing if it has to be managed by MailChimp, this is the case)

1. Yes, your subscribers should be managed by a third party such as MailChimp or FeedBurner

 

2. No, that is currently not supported.

 

3. There is no risk for that because the mail sending is performed by services such as MailChimp.
