Hi, I bought a theme Ad-Sense last year. I don't want to pay for it every year. I thought that when I buy your theme I can use it unlimited and don't have to pay every year. How it works?

You don't have to pay for it every year, it's yours forever and it will work as long as you don't update WordPress to new versions.

But if you decide to update WordPress to new technologies and then you cannot expect the same themes to work forever. You need an update to those themes too.

Either do not update WordPress at all or get a subscription with your theme developers so that the themes can get updated too and continue to work in the future.
