[Rank Math SEO Plugin] Issues with Content Indexing

Hello Team,

I use the RankMath SEO plugin and I have been noticing the following indexing issues with my blog. Kindly look into the same and advice the next steps -

  • Crawled, But not Indexed - Currently, I can see around 414 items in my Search Console which are 'Crawled, But Not Indexed'. I found that most of these links are of the posts that I pushed after switching to RankMath. The posts that I had created before using RankMath have been indexed correctly and are coming in search results
  •  Google Search Results Indexing only Category URLs - I have noticed that for those of my content that comes in Google's search result, the link shown in the search result is that of the post's parent category and not the post itself. This issue of the post link not matching the post title is making people to not click my articles in the search results. Like the above case, I observe this issue for only those posts that I have created after switching to Rank Math. Please look into as to why this might be happening. I want both post URLs and category URLs to be shown in the search results (whichever is relevant for the search query)

The above issues are affecting the ranking of the website and thereby the site traffic. Kindly look into the above and suggest actionable steps to solve the same, at the earliest.

Team,

After switching to RankMath, I have been facing a lot of issues with respect to Google Indexing. Below are my issues in detail -

  • Crawled, but not Indexed - Around 415 items in my site are currently being shown as 'Crawled, but no Indexed' in Google. I could note that this is happening for only those posts that I had created after switching to RankMath. For the posts before RankMath, they are being properly indexed and appear in search results.
  • Only Category URLs are coming up in Search results - Against search queries, though some of my posts are coming up, the links being shown for these posts are currently the links of the parent categories to which these posts belong. This inequality between search result post headings and links are causing people to not click on my articles. This is again happening only for the posts that were created after RankMath Installation. My older posts (the ones before RankMath installation) are working fine.

Please look into these on priority and suggest actionable steps to solve these issues, as this is currently affecting my ranking, and thereby my traffic

Google can or cannot index a post. There are a lot of factors at play and the quality of your article is just one of the factors. If Google determines your content isn't helpful to users, they might take weeks to index it. In contrast, they index unique and really helpful content within a few hours of posting. You can't get Google to index. You can only make everything available to them which is what Rank Math is there for. If you've recently published the posts, Google probably hasn't indexed it yet. It can take up to a week for Google to index the changes you made, depending on how often your website is crawled.

Can you give us an example of this? Please do add links of the pages. categories where this happens.

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.
