You should not be using the tags provided in WordPress for SEO purposes but for sorting your content. Google does not honor tags anymore, so you should use them for your users and your site only. Also, avoid indexing tags unless they provide unique content to Google and your site has a large number of posts (over 100k or more ideally). Looking forward to helping you.
