[PlayBook] Lightbox feature?

Recommended Posts

Read that Playbook had its own lightbox feature, but don't see the toggle switch for it under "Styling Options."

Not a problem, but other lightbox plugins won't work with this theme either. Help!

Hello,

This could be related to the scheme of your website. Did you recently changed to HTTPS? We've just released v1.0.4 of the Playbook theme. Kindly do an update using the MyThemeShop Theme/Plugin Updater plugin which you can download for free in your MyThemeShop member dashboard; let us know if you still are experiencing issues afterwards.

Thank you

Hello,

Thank you for using PlayBook.

By default, the toggle switch is meant to show under  Styling Options.

Can you please reinstall the theme and check that again to see if that fixes the issue for you.

If still facing any issue, please share your login details in the "Sensitive Data" section by editing your first post on this thread and following instructions as shown in the screenshot below and we will take a look:

Looking forward to helping you.

Thank you.

Here's a screen shot of what I'm seeing on the Styling Options page. I'll attempt to reinstall and see if that changes anything.

Hello,

Unfortunately, the Playbook theme does not have a lightbox feature. However, you could quickly add one by editing the theme's functions.php and appending the following

function mts_custom_modal() {
    wp_enqueue_script( 'fluidbox', 'https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/fluidbox/2.0.5/js/jquery.fluidbox.min.js', array( 'jquery' ) );
    wp_enqueue_style( 'fluidbox', 'https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/fluidbox/2.0.5/css/fluidbox.min.css' );
    wp_add_inline_script( 'fluidbox', 'jQuery(function($){$(\'.post-single-content a\').filter(function() {return this.href.match(/\\.(jpeg|jpg|png)/)}).fluidbox();});' );
}
add_action( 'wp_enqueue_scripts', 'mts_custom_modal' );

Thank you

Is there some reason why other lightbox plugins won't work with Playbook? I've tried a few with no luck.

I've wasted 2 days trying to get this minor functionality. Now I added your code and completely disabled the website! Aaargh. Time for a new theme.

Lightbox, Simple Lightbox, Simple Responsive Lightbox, Easy Fancybox, etc. I've tested them all by activating a different theme and they all work fine.

Sux cuz I really like Playbook, but my site relies heavily on images and I don't have the time to go back and create new slideshows for 10 years worth of posts. Why was the lightbox functionality removed? This wasn't an issue until recently.
