[PointPro] Point Pro Questions

For the Point Pro Default with the big header image (the very first one one this page)  http://demo.mythemeshop.com/s/?theme=PointPro

Is it possible to add my own custom text/content etc prior to the blog feed (listed here as news)?  Like if i wanted to write a bunch of text under the header but not part of "features"... is that possible?

Also how are the thumbs under "stories" determined? Is that a widget or features category widget? And is it posts or pages?

Hello,

Thank you for joining us today.

Once you purchase the theme and when you go to Theme Options > Homepage > Slider > Custom Slider  you will be able to add your own custom slide title and description.

See screenshot: https://snag.gy/Ss8Qu4.jpg

The "Stories" section is determined by you selecting a category or multiple categories to pull posts from. The images are coming from each post's featured image.

Thanks for the info.

I didn't mean if I wanted to add my own slider but just write regular text (not part of a slider)... just a few paragraphs of text... or a lot of text like you would see on a blog post etc...

i guess it wouldn't be possible since it's not part of the template?

Hello,

If you just want to insert a block of text instead of the slider you can but it would require a custom solution. You would need to open the file index.php and place your text into the code of the theme.

However to change that text you will always need to edit the file index.php

Our support moderators can help you do that if you open a new forum topic once you purchase the theme.

Hello,

Yes, you can use shortcodes in the php files also. But at the time of editing the core files, you need to make sure to use a Child Theme and make all the edit in the Child Theme to keep all your changes safe even after update.

Hope that helps.

Thank you
