[SteadyIncome] Inconsistent Image Dimensions And Blog Layout On Homepage

I have a couple of questions:

 

1. Image Dimensions
   
   The proportional dimensions of the featured images are not consistent between the different places they appear. This would make it difficult to create a custom graphic with text or border elements and have them appear somewhat consistently on the featured posts, latest posts, and single post pages (for example). Although the layout is beautiful, unless you are using photo images that crop gracefully, this concern is going to pop up with many users sooner than later.
   
   My question is, can this problem be fixed through a theme update (or customization by you)? I don't want to have to check several places every time I post to see what my images are going to look like.
    
2. Homepage Blog Layout
   
   Basically I want the blog view to appear on the homepage (without the banner header.
   
   Can I do this with a simple setting?

2. Yes, it is as simple as creating a new page and setting it as a homepage in Settings > Reading.

Re: #1, when the theme updates, will I lose the custom image size changes that you make?

Hello,

 

Not essentially. We will use a Child theme to make all the edits. This ensures the edits won't be lost even after updating the theme.
