Hello,

Thank you for contacting MyThemeShop.

Those are the count of how many times someone land on your websites on a 404 page. This is fine.

If you want to redirect those users to your Home Page instead of the 404 page, then you need to go to Dashboard > Rank math > General Settings > Redirections > Fallback Behavior> there you need to select the second one and save the changes.

Hope that helps.

Thank you.

Hello,

Yes, redirecting users to your home page is fine instead of showing users your 404 page.

Thank you.

Hello,

I want to add further to it.

Please create redirections matching the closest content/article. Google does not appreciate seeing random redirects, and neither does the user.

Serving a 404 is much better than redirecting everything back to the homepage.

Hope that helps. If you have any further question(s), please let us know. Thank you.

Hello,

For knowing the reasons, please check your Google Search Console's page and see from where are those 404 pages are getting linked.

There is no absolute way to stop the 404 pages from generating. You can make sure that all your internal links are correct since you can not always control how the 3rd party websites link to you.
